Rolex GMT Master II Ref. 16760 watch. Serial Number: 9622800. Case diameter: 40mm. Stainless steel case on an Oyster bracelet. Black and red bezel insert. The 16760 is a rare transitional model of the GMT Master II first produced in 1983. This particular example is a second generation of the 16760 produced in 1986. The 16760 was exclusively produced with the black/red bezel insert, and was also never offered in a gold or gold and steel combination. Overall condition: Very Fine. |

Rolex GMT Master Ref. 16700 watch. Also known as GMT Master-I. Serial Number: T389106. Case diameter: 40mm. Sold new in December 1997 by Mappin and Webb Ltd, London. Complete set with box and papers. The 16700 transitional model was only offered with the Pepsi bezel insert to distinguish it from the GMT-II. While many 16700 had the bezel insert changed later on to black or black/red on customer request, this particular watch comes with its ORIGINAL blue and red bezel.
GMT Master 16700 retains non-quick set GMT hand and was cheaper than more advanced, new 16710.
It was also produced in smaller quantity which makes it today more attractive to Rolex collectors.
Overall condition: very fine. GMT Master Ref. 16700 is transitional model produced from 1988-1998. The first model of GMT Master fitted with Sapphire crystal and new movement caliber 3175. |
